The Program for Governance and Sustainable Democracy

Is an action oriented learning program that takes advantage of the modern forms of communication (Video conference, Internet e Intranet) to deliver courses for the national and local leaders both at the executive and legislative power  in Latin American countries to increase their capacity to perform a better government as a way to guarantee equitable development and a sustainable democracy.

The courses are also offered to their staff and other participants in the governance  process from the civil society and the private sector

Special programs can be designed for large corporation and organizations  involved in the financing and promoting the development process in Latin America specifically for the high level executives and the  people responsible for projects and the analysis of the political and economic environment.

The purpose is to help them to have a better comprehension of the politics of social transformation and to  learn about the relationship between power and management -Commitment Governance- and in general how to handle the political viability of their organizations in today's interdependent and complex global environment.

To reduce the cost of  of traditional training programs and to facilitate the access to the best experience available without the restriction of time and space we have designed these on line courses.

The program will allow the participants to earn a participation certificate from the Graduate School of Political Management at GWU without leaving the transformational process in which they are involved, or their work or home.

Our consideration is that for  countries that have a shortage in well trained professional in the public service area is critical to be able to update the skill of their public servants and community leaders without paying the high cost of having to replace them by less well trained personnel while they are off the working site.
